Chocolate, fig, raspberry, fig leaf ice cream

Daylesford is a special place for my wife Catherine and I. We got married at Lake House and have regularly visited the town both before and after.

There’s so much to do in the town and surrounding towns. Kyneton is the favourite of those towns that are close by.

The last time we were in Daylesford we had breakfast, and dinner at Lake House. We got to Lavandula for lavender scones which are always amazing. Jimmy’s Bar at Frangos and Frangos made for an enjoyable dinner, especially the heirloom tomato salad.

We also had a quick breakfast on the main strip. The Larder is a welcoming café that does breakfast and lunch.  We only had a snack but the ham, provolone cheese and tomato panini did the job and the coffee is, of those I’ve tried, one of the better on the strip.

On the way home from a relaxing weekend we went out of our way to get cake at Inner Biscuit in Kyneton and as usual it was worth it!

On other occasions, I’ve really enjoyed both lunch and dinner at The Farmers Arms and highly recommend it.
